Introduction

At first I thought I started this blog as a creative project for my Introduction to Philosophy class, but then I started thinking (like all philosophers do). I realized that not only will this get me a great grade, but it will help me work all of this philosophy nonsense out in my head. I need a place to vent about how Socrates likes to talk in circles and how meaningless our life would be if we were just a brain in a vat. But I'll also use this to share any fascinating theories or literature I might have come across (or my wonderful professor told me about.)

Truthfully, I've loved the nature of philosophy for quite a while. I would have long, heated debates with my friends about why we were here in this world or if aliens actually exist. That's the part about this course that I love, and the part that I'll be talking most about. But I believe it's also important to recognize the 'founders' of all these questions and intricate theories. There is a technical side to philosophy that I hadn't recognized before, but it is extremely important in becoming a true philosopher.

I hope you enjoy this wild ride through the rollercoaster of philosophy with me!
